Houston Fire Department Assistant Chief Lisa Campbell and Council Member Mike Sullivan, District E, will give citizens tips on how to prevent outdoor fires.

WHEN: Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 10:30 a.m.

WHERE: HFD Head-Quarters, 600 Jefferson, 7th Floor Conference Room 

According to local weather forecasters, the Houston area is suffering from an extreme drought.  Citizens are asked to be extra vigilant in activities that may lead to accidental fires, including improper use of a barbeque pit or improper disposal of barbeque coals, ashes or briquettes and carelessly discarded smoking materials.
