The final Space Shuttle launch is scheduled for July 8, 2011.

On June 16 Johnson Space Center invited reporters covering the mission to meet with the STS-135 crew and the ascent flight control team which is currently training for the mission.  Flight Director Richard Jones and the mission control team participated in a question and answer session in Mission Control.

The STS-135 crew members are Commander Chris Ferguson, Pilot Doug Hurley and Mission Specialists Sandra Magnus and Rex Walheim.

Space Shuttle Atlantis will carry the Raffaello multipurpose logistics module to deliver supplies, logistics and spare parts to the International Space Station. The mission also will fly a system to investigate the potential for robotically refueling existing spacecraft and return a failed ammonia pump module to help NASA better understand the failure mechanism and improve pump designs for future systems. The STS-135 Launch Target is July 8, 2011.
