Joyce was born October 12, 1948, in Galveston to Walter and Hallie B. Wright Foreman. She was a member of Central C/O 1967 and a homemaker. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph “Honey Bear” Sykes, daughter, Tammy Sweeny; and brother, Alfred “Duck” Foreman.

She leaves with precious memories, sons,  Rev. Timmy (Kathy) Sykes of Chattanooga, TN ,Daniel (Janice)Williams, Texas City; daughters, Thebatha and Twooni Sykes ; 14 grandchildren; sisters, Katherine Foreman, Stella Foreman ; dear friend, James Woods; five sisters in law, one brother in law, host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 5PM, Thursday, June 23rd, at Mt Moriah Baptist Church, followed by a life celebration service at 7:00 PM with Pastor Dexter Henderson officiating, Rev. Tim Sykes eulogist.
