Houston TranStar advises of major accident on SH 288 southbound
Travelers are encouraged to choose another route
Houston TranStar advises the public that a major accident on SH 288 southbound past the MacGregor exit has closed two main lanes and one shoulder lane of traffic. One lane is getting by; however, congestion is significant and traffic is moving extremely slowly.
The accident investigation is expected to keep lanes closed for an extended period, so travelers are advised to choose an alternate route (Main St. or I-45, for example).
