The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County Board of Directors today voted unanimously to authorize METRO President and CEO George Greanias to execute an exchange agreement with Houston Armature Works, Inc. regarding an exchange of property related to the East End Corridor light rail expansion, compensation for replacement of the improvements on the property and a lease agreement for the current owner while his new facilities are being built; with a limit to the expense to METRO of $2,152,039. “It’s a win-win for both sides,” said Cassie Stinsen Spencer Crain Cubbage Healy & McNamara PLLC.
The board approved a supplemental agreement to the Motorist Assistance Program in an amount not to exceed $795,000.
The board authorized Greanias to submit an application to Harris County requesting participation in the Community Service Restitution Program.
All other agenda items were approved. All votes were unanimous.
