Second Annual Texas Fallen Heroes Memorial Ride & Cook-off
The Texas Fallen Heroes Memorial Ride & Cook-off is the official benefit fundraiser for the Texas Line of Duty Death Task Force. The purpose of the memorial ride it to bring a greater awareness to the Task Force and to raise funds to help support the departments and families who have suffered a line of duty injury or death. This year's event will be held in honor of Captain Grady Burke who died in the line of duty on February 19, 2005 in service to the Houston Fire Department.
Memorial Ride
An escorted motorcycle ride will take participants through the scenic roads of Harris, Fort Bend, Brazoria, and Galveston Counties. The ride begins at the Cy-Fair VFD Station 11, following a brief wreath laying ceremony to honor all first responders who have died in the line of duty.
When: Saturday, June 25, 2011, starting at 10:30 a.m.

The ride will end at the Galveston County Fairgrounds where there will be a cook-off and a fire festival.
Barbecue Cook-off & Fire Festival

There will be food, live entertainment, a children’s area, static displays of fire & EMS equipment, the HFD Street Machines, Fire Muster and much more!
