The Friendswood Independent School District Board of Trustees, in a special meeting on Monday, voted unanimously to approve soundproofing of the Friendswood High School Band Hall and Choir Room, at a cost not to exceed $299,103.

The work is anticipated to being next week, with much of it completed before the band begins practice in the summer.
