Annual Fourth of July Parade
ORGANIZATION: LINDALE PARK CIVIC CLUB
WHERE: LINDALE PARK SUBDIVISION, HOUSTON TEXAS - Irvington Blvd. south, starting at Eleanor Street and looping around the Irvington esplanade at Gale Street.
WHEN: July 4th, 10:00 AM
Lindale Park will mark its 12th Annual Parade hosted by the Lindale Park Civic Club. In 1999, through the guidance of Lindale Park residents Jessie Reyes Sr. and former Harris County Commissioner Sylvia Garcia, the parade was launched. Since that time, the Lindale Park Civic Club has sponsored and organized the parade with ever increasing popularity.
The efforts of the parade committee, its board and Committee Chair Ed Reyes, have been a source of great community spirit shared by both residents and those surrounding us. As many as 1200 people have lined Irvington to see the festive event.
We are honored to have Congressman Gene Green as this year’s Grand Marshall. There will be an eclectic group of parade participants including WWII veterans, bagpipers, art cars, low riders, antique bicycles, and children riding decorated bikes.
We hope you can join us, Fiesta Mart, the Houston Fire Department, Houston Art Cars, MD Anderson YMCA and a host of other organizations in this year's landmark celebration.
