Arts In Transit Exhibit & Station Name Finalists Open Houses
Arts in Transit
The METRO Arts in Transit Program integrates the talents of our diverse community by incorporating reflective, locally-driven art within public transit. Building on the success of the art installations on the Main Street Light Rail line, the METRO Arts in Transit Program continues to showcase and celebrate our culture with innovative use of color, space and texture within the urban setting.
In a project that ultimately involved 22 chosen artists, dozens of local and national art experts and hundreds of community residents, Arts in Transit transforms individual stations from generic necessities into engaging showcases, each offering a proud and meaningful reflection of the diverse neighborhoods they serve. Please join us for a celebration of the artists and communities along the light rail lines.
Station Name Finalists
"What's in a Name?" We want to hear from you as METRO unveils the station names suggested by you, the public, for the new light rail stations in your neighborhood. Come by, take a look and give us your thoughts before the names go up in lights on a rail platform near you.
