LEADERSHIP CHANGES ANNOUNCED FOR 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR

 

League City – School’s out for summer, but the Clear Creek Independent School District is already making plans for a stellar 2011-2012 school year. When students return to campus in August, some of them will find there’s a new principal and some new staff members welcoming them in the hallways.

 

Debra Dixon has been named principal of Clear Lake High School. She joins Clear Creek ISD from El Paso. Lauren Berryman-Ambeau, formerly an assistant principal at Falcon Pass Elementary, has been named principal of Ferguson Elementary in League City.

 

Sven Schulz, an assistant principal at Clear Brook will move to Clear Falls High School as assistant principal along with Alex Gonzalez who was most recently an assistant principal at Clear Creek High School.

 

Michel Froneberger, assistant principal at Clear Lake High School, will move to Space Center Intermediate School. Brad Hayes, assistant principal at Space Center Intermediate, will move to Clear Lake High School as an assistant principal.

 

At the elementary level there are the following assistant principal moves:

 

Lisa Helmle will move from Armand Bayou Elementary to Ed White Elementary, Jennifer Sarrano will go to Armand Bayou from Hyde Elementary, Cheryl Chaney will move from North Pointe to Weber Elementary, and Amber Willemsen will move from Goforth to Bauerschlag Elementary. Laura Haug, Coordinator of Elementary Social Studies, has been named assistant principal at Falcon Pass Elementary and will continue to serve as curriculum coordinator.

 

Upon the retirement of Assistant Superintendent Tina Farrell, the District decided not to fill her position; instead, her duties were reassigned as follows:

 

Debbie Philips, formerly the Executive Director of Elementary Education, assumed the position of Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Marlene Skiba, formerly Executive Director of Secondary Education, is now the Executive Director of Professional Development.

 

In other administrative moves, Dana Morgan, former Coordinator of Career and Technical Education, has been named Director of Career and Technical Education. Robert Bayard, former Dean of Instruction at Clear Springs High School has been named as Director of Assessment and Evaluation.
