San Jacinto College to host financial literacy workshops
HOUSTON — The San Jacinto College (SJC) financial aid department will host financial literacy workshops for SJC students beginning Thursday, July 14. The workshops will cover basic money management skills and key strategies for financial success.
“The financial literacy workshops are designed to educate students on making smart financial decisions while sharing practical personal finance lessons,” said Sonia Townsend, South campus financial aid coordinator. “The goal of the workshops are to motivate students to take a positive and a proactive approach to their finances. Students will leave the workshop armed with a working knowledge of basic financial planning, financial goal setting, and how to create a spending plan. We want our students to be able to make smart financial decisions and to accomplish both their academic and financial goals.”
