Guadalupe L. Sanchez, 52, of Galveston, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital.  She was born October 25, 1958 in Galveston.  She was a graduate of Ball High School and had worked for the Galveston Police Department, the Galveston County Sheriff’s Department, and the Galveston County District Attorney’s office.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by her father, Juan Sanchez, Sr. 

She is survived by her mother, Aurora Sanchez; daughter, Dina Sanchez; son, Stephen Sanchez; brothers, John Sanchez, Jr., Ben Sanchez, Joe Sanchez, and Ray Sanchez; and grandson, Marcos Soria.

A memorial service with Deacon Henry Herrera officiating was held at Malloy & Son Funeral Home at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9.
