John Gay leading the way

With yesterday’s announcement by Rep. Ron Paul that he would not seek reelection in U.S. District 14 several possible candidates have stated they are considering a possible run for the soon to be vacated seat.

Conservative stalwart John Gay has been leading the way since January when he announced his intention to compete for the seat. Gay has been busy campaigning throughout Galveston, Brazoria, and Jefferson counties which comprise the majority of the newly redesigned District 14.

John participated in Friendswood’s 4th of July parade and has been placing signage throughout the district. He’s also been busy meeting with business leaders and recently secured the endorsement of the Texas Auctioneers Association.

Gay is a Tea Party favorite and pledges to put the “will of the people” before political power. John is a much needed breath of fresh air rather than a political retread. He’s a conservative Christian whose ideals are in line with those that make the Lone Star State so great.
