The Dickinson Independent School District Board of Trustees on Monday voted unanimously to rescind a split payment option for the payment of property taxes to the school district.
Galveston County, which collects taxes for the district, recently implemented a split tax-payment option for property owners. However, cities and school districts may opt out of the option and receive property taxes in a single payment.
The school board voted unanimously to appoint Rhonda Parmer as assistant superintendent for educational services.
The school board voted unanimously to approve the contract and separation agreement for Superintendent Dr. Leland Williams. Williams is retiring from the district.
