Rhonda Parmer to join Dickinson ISD as Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services
Rhonda Parmer will join Dickinson ISD July 28 as the new Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services. Parmer replaces Vicki Mims who will assume the role of Superintendent Sept. 1. Current Superintendent Dr. Leland Williams will serve as Associate Superintendent to assist with the transition until his retirement later this fall.
Parmer has 18 years of education experience, all in Pasadena ISD. She served as a teacher, peer facilitator and assistant principal in Pasadena before being promoted in 2004 to principal at Frazier Elementary, which has been rated "exemplary" for five years. She is currently a Doctorate Degree Candidate in Educational Leadership and Superintendent Certification at the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
Parmer was named the Texas National Distinguished Principal in 2010 from the National Association of Elementary School Principals. She was also a 2010 Pasadena ISD nominee for the Region IV Principal of the Year program.
