Alvin Community College Continuing Education Workforce Development is now offering a three-course fire inspector certificate program. Fire inspectors are responsible for inspecting businesses and other places of assembly each year to ensure that they meet state and local fire codes.

The ACC Fire Inspector Program consists of 196 hours of training and students who successfully complete the program will be eligible to take the Texas Commission on Fire Protection Inspector exam.

“ACC is excited to offer this certification which includes classroom training approved by Texas Commission on Fire Protection and State Firemen’s and Fire Marshal’s Association” says Chief Training Officer Billy Gerber.
