The Santa Fe Independent School District Board of Trustees on Monday voted to approve a $53,808 contract with Republic Services for solid waste disposal services.
The school board voted to approve salary schedules for the 2011-2012 school year. The salary schedules reflect no increase or decrease in teacher salaries.
The school board voted to endorse Manuel Guajardo, Jr. for the Texas Association of School Boards Board of Directors. Guajardo serves on the Texas City Independent School District Board of Trustees, and is currently vice president of the board.
The school board voted to assign a design-build contract to Mansfield Gas Equipment Systems for the Compressed Natural Gas Conversion Project. Mansfield Gas Equipment Systems recently purchased the company that had been awarded the contract for building infrastructure to fuel natural gas buses.
The school board voted to approve a $20,000 donation from BP.
The school board voted to support the Hitchcock Foreign Trade Zone.
