Dual credit students tour SJC just shy of their first college semester
PASADENA, Texas — A new class of 2011 dual credit students from various high schools experienced a sample of their upcoming college education during an orientation in preparation for the Fall semester at San Jacinto College (SJC) Central.
The event included an introduction by Dr. Barbara Hanson, vice president for learning, and program information by Jaynie Mitchell, director of dual credit and early admission. From there, the high school students toured the campus, including the science department, where professors allowed them to join in on a lecture and lab course with SJC students.
