Ricardo Xavier “Ricky” Roa-RodriguezRicardo  Xavier “Ricky” Roa-Rodriguez, born April 3, 1994 departed this life in the evening hours of July 27, 2011 in the arms of his Father, Simon Rodriguez and Mother, Elodia Rodriguez surrounded by his loving family.

17 years ago this world was blessed with a true angel.  A young man with strength beyond his years, Ricky was an exceptional young man.  With a smile that could light up a room and a contagious laugh, Ricky never met a stranger and often went out of his way to bring a smile to the face of his friends and everyone around them.  Although he endured a lot of pain on of own, Ricky never complained… he accepted the life he was afforded and did the best he could to fight and overcome his illness.  He never gave up and fought through the last moments of his beautiful life.

Ricky Rick, we will never for a second forget that entrancing smile or those whispered tones in your voice.  Those unquestionable gaming skills and your loving hugs you were always sooo happy to give out with every greeting.  You will forever remain in our hearts, minds, prayers and thoughts.  We are so grateful to love you, Son.

Ricky is predeceased in death by his loving grandfather, Alfred Rodriguez, Sr., and his sweet baby cousin, Kaylie Guardiola.  Ricky’s memory lives on through his father and mother, Simon and Elodia (Roa) Rodriguez, and his younger sister, Katarina Rodriguez all of Galveston; his Grandparents, Rodolofo and Maria Roa of Galveston, and Josephine Rodriguez of Galveston; Aunts, Elsa Mullins (Jeff) of Laredo, TX, Griselda Marcciano (Falco) of Texas City, TX, Josie Molina (Rudy) of Clear Lake, TX, Cynthia Rodriguez of Galveston, TX; Uncles, Javier Roa of Galveston, TX, Alfred Rodriguez, Jr. (Patricia) of Humble, TX, Eugene Rodriguez (Lisa) of League City, TX, Alonzo Ramirez, Sr. (Cindy) of Galveston, TX, and Kevin Kim of Galveston, TX.   Cousins,  Daniel Mullins, Maribel Mullins, Vito Marcciano, Giovanni Marcciano, Vincent Marcciano, Kathy Rodriguez, Alfred “AJ” Rodriguez, III,  Amanda Rodriguez, Alex Rodriguez, Alonzo “Bebo” Ramirez, Jr., Andrew Ramirez, Avery Kim.
