TxDOT MONITORS TROPICAL STORM DON

(Houston) – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) continues to monitor Tropical Storm Don, which is expected to make landfall late Friday night south of the Houston District. TxDOT Emergency Operations Center staff is actively participating in conference calls with the National Weather Service and State Operations Center in Austin. 

With the possibility of heavy rainfall, TxDOT staff and resources are prepared to be deployed and respond to conditions as necessary.

The TxDOT Houston District Emergency Operations Center is currently at Level 3 (Increased Readiness).
