K-12 students beat the heat in the gym during 2011 SJC basketball camp

PASADENA, Texas — Dozens of boys and girls, ages 7-18, brought their A-game to the court recently during the San Jacinto College (SJC) Central campus 2011 basketball camp.

The week-long day camp provided beginners with the basic fundamentals of the game, while helping more advanced players further develop their court skills. Area high school and college basketball coaches served as instructors of offense, defense, and strategies for various game situations. SJC men's basketball team members also participated by assisting the campers. Parents and family members were treated to a final game at the end of the week.
