East End Residential Parking Permits Available through GPD
Free Parking Permits Available at Police Headquarters

Galveston, Texas – The Galveston Police Department is reminding the public that on-street parking in the Island’s east end is limited according to posted signage.  Parking is enforced for the area between University Boulevard and 19th Street, north of Broadway.  Officers are encouraging neighborhood residents to obtain a free parking permit for their vehicle to avoid receiving citations.

East end residents can stop by the Galveston Police Department, located at 601 54th Street, to request a free parking permit.  This office is staffed Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM.  All applicants will need to present a copy of their vehicle insurance, their drivers license, and documentation that indicates they currently reside in the Island’s east end.  For more information please call (409) 765-3636.
