Doris Frohne
Malloy & Son Funeral Home

Doris FrohneDoris Frohne passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011, after a long battle with cancer.  She was born in Stafford, Texas on September 1, 1928.  Doris worked for the City of Galveston for over 40 years.  She began her career in the Water Dept. and ended it in the Finance Dept. as a computer operator.  During her lifetime, she enjoyed dressing in period clothing for Dickens on the Strand.  After retirement, she loved traveling with her friends, T.J. and Emmy Hanson.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Lynwood and Louise Baswell; husband, E. J. Frohne; and son, Edward Joseph Frohne, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Dagg and husband, Bill; grandson, John Dagg; four great grandchildren: Aimee Dagg, Andrew Dagg, Abby Dagg, and Adam Flores; cousin, Raymond Haak and wife, Gladys, of Santa Fe, TX; and her two dear friends, T. J. and Emmy Hanson.

Doris’ family will receive visitors from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, Wednesday, August 3rd, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, August 4th, at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock.

The family would like to thank Hospice Care Team, Inc., for their support during the end of Doris’ life.
