The Dickinson Independent School District Board of Trustees on Monday voted unanimously to name Rosella Scott as delegate and Fritzie Samford as alternate to the Texas Association of School Boards Delegate Assembly.

The school board voted unanimously to schedule a hearing date for the 2011-2012 operating budget for August 15.  The public hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m.

The school board voted unanimously to schedule a special meeting for August 29 to consider the final budget amendments for the 2010-2011 budget.

The school board voted unanimously to renew property and casualty insurance policies for the district.

The school board voted 5-0-2, with Patty Halter and Linda Butler abstaining to approve the minutes of the July 17 school board meeting.  Halter and Butler were not present at the July 17 meeting.

The school board discussed, but took no action regarding revisions to the district’s organizational chart.
