More HISD Students are Earning Diplomas through Twilight High School Program   
Trustee Manuel Rodriguez Jr.’s monthly TV show features interview with recent graduate who earned diploma through the district’s Twilight program   

Who: The August edition of HISD Board of Education Vice President Manuel Rodriguez Jr.’s Faces and Places Show features an update on the district’s Twilight High School program which has helped several students earn their diplomas in the last eight months.  Rodriguez will also discuss the upcoming Grads within Reach event and the district’s efforts to step up its communication efforts with Houston’s Hispanic community through social media and other initiatives.

What: Monthly HISD Faces and Places television show hosted by HISD First Vice-President Manuel Rodriguez Jr. The show is available in both English and Spanish.

When: Throughout the month of August at www.houstonisd.org and on HISD-TV (Comcast channel 18 and AT&T U-verse channel 99) at the following dates and times.

Why:  HISD First Vice-President President Manuel Rodriguez Jr. is committed to ensuring that all of Houston’s children get a quality education and are prepared for college and a career once they graduate. An HISD board member since 2003, Mr. Rodriquez’s monthly television program showcases HISD initiatives and the many diverse faces and places that make up the district. Each show features a new topic and guests from HISD schools including students, teachers, and principals.
