AAUW membership coffee
The West Harris County Branch of AAUW (American Association of University Women) will host a coffee for prospective members from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 27, at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church. Light refreshments will be served at 9:30 and the program, "Expanding Our Horizons, Enriching Our Lives," will be at 10:00.
The church is at 12955 Memorial Drive, between the Sam Houston Tollway and Wilcrest Drive. Parking is in the east parking lot. Enter through the Family Life Center.
AAUW, established in 1881, is a national organization of approximately 100,000 members dedicated to life long learning and advancing equity for women and girls while having lots of fun.
The West Harris County Branch has approx. 200 members who participate in social, educational, and public policy areas, as well as in special interest groups such as book clubs, gourmet dining events, girls’ night out activities, birding, bridge and more.
Membership in the Association is open to people who hold an associate degree or equivalent, baccalaureate or higher degree from a college or university on the list of qualified institutions.
