Congressional candidate John Gay to serve as auctioneer

John Gay, congressional candidate in Texas’ 14th district, will be serving as auctioneer to raise funds to cover medical expenses for Pearland resident, Joanne S.

The event will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 2-A-Days Sports bar located at 10555 Pearland Parkway, Houston, TX between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. There will be a live band, silent auction, and all attendees are asked to wear orange, Joanne’s favorite color.

The live auction is expected to start at 2:00 p.m. and all proceeds will go to cover Joanne’s mounting medical expenses.

“Right now Washington bureaucrats are making decisions for hard working Texans when those decisions should be made locally” Gay said. John believes that funding should be kept local for tragic cases like Joanne, who doesn’t qualify for any government assistance.
