Troopers seeking information on Hunt County hit-and-run crash

DPS Highway Patrol troopers are seeking information on a white or light-colored truck and box trailer that struck and killed a man on westbound IH-30 Sunday night in Hunt County.

Charles William Sleeman of Farmersville stepped out of his Toyota Tundra to check on a vehicle he was towing when he was struck and killed at 8:49 p.m. about 200 feet south of County Road 4108.

The truck that hit Mr. Sleeman did not stop. Investigators believe that the driver may not have been aware that he had hit someone.

Anyone with information about the crash, the location of the vehicle or the driver is urged to call Sgt. Monty Posey in the Greenville Highway Patrol office at 903-453-6900.
