United States Congressman Pete Olson visited the University of Texas Medical Branch today.

“Well the purpose of my visit was to come down and meet with my employers,” Olson said in an interview with Juan Peña.  “Since I’ve been a Member (of Congress) I have done everything I could to get UTMB back up and running as it had been before the storm hit.”

Olson said he is impressed with the progress since Hurricane Ike.

“Every time I come back here, I see more and more progress,” Olson said.  “We are a Level One Trauma Center again.  And that’s not just big for the Galveston area; that’s big for the entire Southeast Texas area.”
