The Hitchcock Independent School District Board of Trustees on Tuesday voted unanimously to appoint board members Tom Ivey and Ted Robinson to the district’s Audit/Finance Committee for the 2011-2012 school year.

The school board voted to appoint Sherry Hovson and Cathy Cruse as community members of the Audit/Finance Committee for the coming school year.

The school board voted to endorse Joe Adams as candidate for the Texas Association of School Boards Board of Directors.

The school board voted to authorize the hiring of a kindergarten teacher.  The item was discussed during an executive session.

The school board voted to approve an interlocal agreement with Deep East Texas.
