METRORAIL SCHEDULED SERVICE INTERRUPTION

WHEN: 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 21.

WHERE: Between Preston and UH-Downtown stations

WHY:  Reconfiguration of overhead contact wire in area due to North Line extension work 

During this time, there will be no bus shuttle service between the Preston and UH-Downtown stations. 

However, METRO recommends patrons use bus routes 1, 5, 9, 15, 24, 60 and 78, which are accessible on San Jacinto (northbound) and Fannin (southbound), to navigate the area.

Rail service between Fannin South and Preston stations will not be impacted and will run as scheduled.

METRO personnel will be available at the northbound Preston platform to provide assistance during the temporary shutdown.

Regular service from Preston to UH-Downtown is projected to resume at 3 p.m.
