Minnie Jackson

Minnie JacksonMinnie Jackson was born July 10, 1922, in Anderson, TX to James Pratt and Jennie Henson. “Ma Dear” affectionately known to her family and friends was an only child. She gave her life to her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Theoplus Jackson; sons, James Allen and Ankles Allen; father of her children, Amos Allen; and grandson, Derrick Phillips.

Ma Dear is survived by her two daughter, Betty Davis (John) and Freddie Phillips; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren; 1 brother-in- law, 1 sister-in-law; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, August 20, 2011, with a service celebrating her life at 12 Noon at Gtr. Mt. Gilead Baptist Church (3506 Ave. N ½) with Pastor Michael Dwyer officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
