Lamarissimo! 2011-12 season tickets and gift certificates available

Season tickets and gift certificates for the upcoming 2011-12 season of the Lamarissimo! concert series are now on sale in Lamar University’s Mary Morgan Moore Department of Music. Now in its 22nd season, Lamarissimo! showcases the talents of outstanding student and faculty artists in ensemble and solo performances. The Lamarissimo! season opens Thursday, Oct. 6, with the Jazz Bands concert and continues with Faculty Artists, Thursday, Nov. 3; A Cappella Choir holiday concert, Sunday, Dec. 4; Wind Ensemble and Concert Band, Tuesday, March 6; and Cardinal Singers and Lamar Dance Company, Thursday, April 26. The holiday concert will begin at 3 p.m. All others will start at 7:30 p.m. All concerts will be in the Julie Rogers Theatre, 765 Pearl St. Season tickets, priced at $50 for adults and $25 for students, include admission to all five concerts. Lamarissimo! gift certificates may be used for purchase of adult season tickets. Individual concert tickets, $18 for adults and $12 for students, will be available before each concert.
