Viewing will begin at 10AM on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, followed by funeral service at 11:00 am at Fields- Johnson Family Mortuary with Elder Harold Block officiating.

Rodney was born April 27, 1951, in Galveston and received his education in its public schools. He also served his country in the armed forces.

Rodney was preceded in death by his father, Warren G. Bolden; brother, Roland E. Bolden; and son, Reggie Bolden. 

He leaves behind his mother, Helen Bolden; nieces, LaTricia Renae Williams of Houston and Angel Michelle Bolden (Richard Campbell) of California;  great nieces, Moriah, Charity and Laurryn Sells; three cousins:  Ethel Bell of Houston, Aaron Jackson III of South Dakota and Sharlene Searcy and her children, Aleesa, Hattaria and Charlynn of Detroit; other relatives and friends.
