Houston police have learned the identity of a man found fatally shot at 6705 Fairway about 8 p.m. on Monday (Aug. 22). 

Lowell "Cook" Bell, 55, of the above address, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. 

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant B. Williams and T. Hanslik, Senior Police Officer B. Swainson and Officers M. Khan, M. Chaney and R. Nunez reported: 

HPD patrol officers responded to a call regarding a deceased person at the above location.  Family members who had not heard from Mr. Bell recently and were concerned for his well-being, entered his apartment and found him deceased. 

Drug paraphernalia was found in the apartment and friends told investigators that a number of people frequented Bell's apartment.  At this time, investigators are requesting to speak to anyone with information regarding Bell or his associates.
