Clear Lake International Triathlon Set for this Saturday
Drivers Cautioned about Traffic Impact of Bicycle Race Route

League City motorists may experience some delays on the morning of Saturday, August 27 due to road closures related to the Clear Lake International Triathlon. The City of League City is one of the sponsors of the event, and is working to ensure smooth traffic flow while the bicycle portion of the triathlon proceeds through League City.

The bike route will require the following road closures from 6 a.m. to noon.

  • The westbound, right lane of Marina Bay Drive (FM 2094) from SH 146 to FM 270

  • The northbound, right lane of Egret Bay from Marina Bay Drive (FM 2094) to Webster

The League City Police Department will have officers assisting with traffic. Motorists are encouraged to avoid this area if possible and take an alternate route.

More information about the race, and route maps are available on our website at www.leaguecity.com.
