The Clear Creek Independent School District Board of Trustees on Monday voted unanimously to adopt the 2011-2012 Budget.
The budget includes a total expenditure of $343,390,796 for all funds, including $180,934,741 designated for instruction, $39,945,272 for instructional support and $53,716,241 for district operations.
The district is designating $50,735,000 payments on the district’s bond issues.
The school board voted to commit $2.5 million for disaster recovery costs and $750,000 for special education.
The school board voted to approve projects for a proposed State Energy Conservation Office grant. The projects will include retrofits of air conditioning systems at various facilities, which could receive as much as $2 million in grant funds.
The school board voted to approve guidelines and charges for the School Boundary Advisory Committee. The committee will meet in October to develop recommendations for school attendance boundaries for elementary and intermediate schools in 2012-2013.
The school board voted to approve an agreement with the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office for liaison officers. The contract has a total cost of $1,529,000, an increase from the 2010-2011 contract of $1,470,000. The hourly rate will increase from $32.08 to $33.53 per officer.
