Beulah Lucille Smith received her reward of eternal rest on August 24, 2011, at her residence.
Beulah was born April 30, 1926, in Opelousas, LA, to Simon M. and V. Beulah Eaglin Brown. She attended school in Opelousas. She retired from American National Insurance Co. Food Service Dept. She was a faithful member of First Union Baptist Church, serving as a member of the choir, Mother’s Union, Senior Women Auxiliary and Sunday School class #2.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters; two grandchildren.
She leaves with precious memories her sons, Eugene, Jr., Herbert Lee, Sr., Lloyd, David Leroy, Robert Earl, and Daniel Smith; brothers, Simon, Rogers, Wilbert, Leroy, and Louis Brown; sisters, Lorene Brown, Cora, and Leona Solomon, Doris Brown, Leola Mitchell, Clara Nicks and Ella Mae Bryant; special friends, Elzenia Pennington, Randolph and Wilina Gatson; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will begin at 11AM on Saturday, September 3, 2011, followed by a service celebrating her life at 1:00 PM at First Union Baptist Church (1027 Ave K) with Pastor David L. Everson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery
