La Marque ISD Board of Trustees

The La Marque Independent School District Board of Trustees on Thursday voted 3-1, with Shirley Fanuiel opposed, to approve a Supplemental Educational Services Provider for the district.

Trustees Travis Smith and Edward Jones were not present at the time of the vote.

Supplemental Educational Services Providers offer additional services, such as tutoring or other academic enrichment activities, for disadvantaged students in public schools.

The school board voted unanimously, with Jones and Smith not present at the time of the vote, to accept donations to the district.

The school board voted unanimously to authorize the payment of the district's outstanding bills.

The school board took no action regarding personnel matters, including resignation and recommendations for professional staff. The item was discussed in executive session.

The school board took no action regarding the reassignment of the Chief of Police to the board of trustees. The item was discussed during an executive session.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Trustee Nakisha Paul was absent from the meeting.   Agenda
