The Galveston County Transit District Board of Directors on Wednesday voted unanimously to adopt a resolution of support for the Gulf Coast Center’s request to the Houston-Galveston Area Council for Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality funding for the Victory Lakes Park and Ride Program.

“Victory Lakes construction in League City of the Park and Ride is going well,” reported transportation consultant Barry Goodman. “Those of you who drive by it will notice that the steel is now going up for the shelter.”
Goodman said the anticipated completion date for the project is December 23.
Rick Elizondo of the Gulf Coast Center reported on the Mall of the Mainland Park and Ride operation and the Texas City/La Marque/Dickinson fixed route operations.

The committee voted unanimously to name League City Mayor Tim Paulissen as the group’s secretary.
Kemah City Council Member Brenton Spry presided over the meeting in the absence of Galveston County Judge Mark Henry.
