The Santa Fe Independent School District Board of Trustees on Monday voted unanimously to nominate Gary Jones, David Moss, Victor Pierson, Emery Williams, II and Walter Syers for re-election to the Galveston Central Appraisal District Board of Directors.

The school board voted unanimously to adopt a proclamation in recognition of Bus Safety Week, which is observed on October 17-21.

The school board voted unanimously to adopt a proclamation in recognition of Red Ribbon Week, which is observed on October 23-31.

The school board tabled action regarding changes to Policy DEC, a local policy of the school district.

The school board voted unanimously to approve the hiring of two additional pre-kindergarten teachers.  The item was discussed during an executive session.
