Bastrop County Complex fire investigation concluded
COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Texas Forest Service has completed the investigation of the Bastrop County Complex Fire. It has been determined that the cause of the fire was most likely electrical in nature.
A copy of the investigation report is available in compliance with the Public Information Act.

The Bastrop Fire and Union Chapel Fire together made up the Bastrop County Complex. The Bastrop Fire was the primary fire. The Union Chapel Fire remains under investigation.
