The Texas City Independent School District Board of Trustees on Tuesday voted unanimously to submit class size waivers for 34 classes exceeding the 22-to-1 student-to-teacher ratio required by the state.

Of the 34 classes, 32 are in the third and fourth grade level, with the remaining two in the second grade level.

The school board voted to authorize administration to award a moving contract for the Texas City High School.  The administration will select a moving company once bids are finalized.  The district plans to move into the new high school campus during the Christmas break.

The school board voted to select KMD Hospitality as a nutrition services consultant.  The consultant company will provide menu marketing and design.

The school board voted to approve the design development phase for the new Blocker Middle School campus.

All items were approved.  All votes were unanimous with all members present.  Agenda
