Brazoria County Commissioners Court on Tuesday voted unanimously to nominate Ryan Cade for election to the Brazoria County Appraisal District Board of Directors.
The taxing entities in the county will vote later this year to elect candidates who have been nominated to the board. There are a total of five positions on the board.
The commissioners court voted to appoint Alan Sassin to the Emergency Services District No. 1 Board of Directors. Sassin will serve the remainder of an unexpired term left by Naomi Smith.
The commissioners court voted to appoint an evaluation committee to evaluate a proposals for employee health clinic administration.
Appointed to the committee were commissioners Dude Payne and Stacey Adams, Tax Collector-Assessor Ro’Vin Garrett, Connie Garner, Mary Shine, Arthur Velasquez, Cathy Hughes, Henri Jean Loessin, Cathy Sbrusch, Kathy Wootton, Chere Bennett, and Charles Crook, who will serve as a non-voting member.
The commissioners court voted to award contracts for the purchase of food service products to various vendors who submitted the lowest and best bids.
The commissioners court voted to accept audit reports for county emergency service districts No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 for the fiscal year ending September 2010.
