The item was discussed by the board during an executive session.  The suit is being filed by the Texas Taxpayer and Student Fairness Coalition regarding the current school finance system.

The school board voted unanimously to approve a resolution to tax goods in transit.  The approval was required by the state’s tax code in order for the district to continue taxation of goods in transit.
