H-GAC Seeks Public Input
for Method of Distribution of $969 Million in Ike Disaster Recovery Funds
H-GAC is seeking input on the method of distribution for approximately $969 million in Community Development Block Grant Hurricane Ike Disaster Recovery Funds. Written and oral comments regarding the Method of Distribution (MOD) will be taken at three public hearings:
- Tuesday, October 25 at 10 a.m. - noon at the Humble Civic Center, located at 8233 Will Clayton Parkway, Humble, Texas 77338
- Wednesday, October 26 at 10 a.m. - noon at the Hobby Airport Marriott (Corpus Christi Room), located at 9100 Gulf Freeway, Houston, Texas 77017
- Thursday, October 27 at 6 - 8 p.m. at the Galveston County Courthouse (in the Commissioners' Courtroom), located at 722 21st Street, Galveston, Texas 77550-2317
Additional written comments must be received by 4 p.m. Tuesday, November 8. The Draft MOD will be posted online at http://www.h-gac.com/community/community/ike/ike_funding.aspx. A hard copy of the MOD will be made available for public inspection and comment at the H-GAC reception area throughout the comment period.
