A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at West Point Baptist Church with Pastor Kerry W. Tillmon officiating.

Mary Ann was born July 11, 1959, in Galveston, and was a 1977 graduate of Ball High School, she also graduated from Galveston College, and worked as a surgical technologist for many years in labor and delivery at UTMB-Galveston, Seton Medical Center-Austin and Bayshore - Pasadena.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Tommie Lee Carr, Jr. and Rosetta Wright Carr.

Left to cherish memories is her son: Malik Carr; daughters: Tara Hanks, Stephanie Robinson, and Mariah Carr; grandchildren: Victor Hanks Jr, Kaylin Anderson and Skye Mary Ann Robinson; brother: Tommie Carr III; sisters: Anita Kirby and Linda Womack; five nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends.
