Albert FonetontAlbert Fonetont, 93, departed this life on Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Mainland Medical Center. Albert was born February 6, 1918, in Eunice, LA to Gilbert and Loretha Freeman Fontenot.

A longtime resident of Hitchcock, he retired from H.L. & P. after 26 years of service and was a faithful member of Galilee Baptist church serving on the Usher board.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Josephine Fontenot; brothers, Leroy, Roy and Ector Fontentot.

He is survived by his sons, Vincent Charles and Herman Fontenot; sisters, Mary Robinson, Joyce Murray(Charles) and Rosa Lee Fontenot (Kenny); seven nephews;  eleven nieces; devoted friends, Ernest Harris, Vander Haynes and Dorothy Conley and many other devoted friends and family.

Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 22, 2011, at the Galilee Baptist Church, followed by funeral  service at 2:00 PM with Pastor S.D. Siverand officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
