WHAT: The annual Fire Fest is a fun family event with free admission that features over a dozen vendors, live firefighting demonstrations, live music, a kids fun zone and assorted fire appartus on display.

WHEN: Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

WHERE: HFD Val Jahnke Training Facility, 8030 Braniff off Telephone Rd, just south of Hobby Airport.

DETAILS: Firefest is hosted by the Houston Fire Museum, and is one of the fund-raising events of the Fire Museum. Proceeds and sponsorship of Fire Fest benefit the Fire Museum's outreach and education programming. The Fire Museum is a 501c-3 education non-profit. Firefest focuses on the fire service, and is held at the Houston Fire Department's Val Jahnke Training Facility.
