Two HISD Schools Removed from State’s List of Unacceptable Campuses
Texas Education Agency grants “Acceptable” ratings to Ryan Middle School and
Wilson Montessori after considering appeals
Two more Houston ISD schools are now rated “academically acceptable” by the Texas Education Agency after the district filed appeals requesting a review of their preliminary “academically unacceptable” ratings.
Ryan Middle School and Wilson Montessori are now considered to have met state standards during the 2010-2011 school year, according to the TEA. The corrected ratings bring the total number of rated HISD schools that met state standards last school year to 259 of 282 campuses, or 92 percent.
